Mysteries of Christian Initiation

BAPTISMS – By appointment. Parents must meet with Father expressing their desire to Baptism their child. Parents are expected to be practicing parishioners of our parishioners. It is recommended that godparents be practicing catholic. If the godparents are not parishioners of our church, a letter of recommendation is necessary from their parish priest attesting to their Christian values and faith. Father will conduct a special baptismal preparation session. This session is for all expectant parents and the Godparents explaining the obligations of the duties of godparents. We strive to administer the Holy Sacrament of Initiation for children on the Sunday nearest to the 40th day after the birth of their child. Three Sacraments (Baptism, Chrismation and Holy Eucharist) are given to children when baptized in the Eastern Catholic tradition.
